7 Power-Packed Smoothies to Start your New Year off Right

1) Chocolate Cherry

We love this smoothie because it’s chock full of good-for-you ingredients, but it tastes so good. Blended with organic cherries and fair-trade cacao, it satisfies your sweet tooth completely guilt-free. In fact, Medical Daily states that cherries can lower blood sugar, reduce inflammation, and improve sleep! Throw in some spinach, chia seeds, banana, and almond milk, and you have yourself a smoothie worthy of a milkshake.

– 2 cups organic spinach
– ½ organic banana (fresh or frozen)
– 1 ½ – 2 cups frozen organic cherries
– 2 tbs fair-trade cacao powder
– 1 tbs chia seeds
-1 cup almond milk

 

2) Green Machine

This green smoothie will leave you refreshed and glowing!  The avocado gives it a lovely creamy consistency. Plus, avocados are loaded with healthy and fats and fiber that keep you feeling full. (Learn more about their benefits here.)

– 1 cup organic kale
– 1 cup organic spinach
– ½ organic green apple
– ½ organic avocado
– 2 stalks organic celery
– 1 cup coconut water (I recommend Harmless Harvest)
– ½ inch fresh ginger or 1 tsp powdered ginger

 

 

3) Klassic Kale

This kale smoothie really is a classic! It’s my go-to smoothie, because it’s simple, but packed with nutrition. Authority Nutrition states that kale is one of the most nutrient dense foods on the planet. It’s loaded with Vitamins A,K, and C, manganese, antioxidants, and more. Blend, pour, and enjoy!

– 2 cups organic kale
– 1 organic banana
– 1 cup organic blueberries
– 1 tbs chia seeds
– 2 tbs of your favorite Yumbutter potion (I recommend Almond or Sunflower)
– 1 cup almond milk or water

 

 

4) Plant Protein Post-Workout

It’s important to fuel your body with protein after a workout. It restores your energy and builds and repairs your muscles. I particularly love the power of plant protein post workout! – 1 organic banana
– 1 scoop plant-based protein powder of your choice (I like About Time or Nutiva)

– 1 cup almond milk
– Ice to desired consistency

 

 

5) So Many Superfoods

We filled this smoothie up with superfoods on superfoods. And ‘ay ladies… let’s chat about maca. It is known to increase libido, balance hormones, decrease menopause symptoms, and boost energy. You’re welcome.

– 1 organic banana
– 1 cup organic mixed berries
– 1 cup organic leafy greens
– 1 tsp maca
– 1 tbs chia seeds
– 1 tbs flaxseed
– 1 tsp bee pollen
– 1 cup almond milk
– Bonus: add 1 tbs any Yumbutter Superfood Potion

 

6) Better than Brunch

This smoothie is SO GOOD. Blended with coffee, oats, peanut butter, and bananas, it has all the makings of a great breakfast. Bananas are a smoothie staple, so thankfully they’re loaded with great qualities! They have potassium, vitamin B, antioxidants, and regulate blood sugar levels. – 1 organic banana
– ¼ cup gluten free oats
– 1 tbs organic peanut butter
– ½ cup coffee or an espresso shot (try Cadence or Equal Exchange)
– 1 tbs raw honey or maple syrup (optional)
– 1 cup almond milk
– 4-6 ice cubes

 

7) Protect My Body

This immunity smoothie (created by none other than one of our founders, Matt D’Amour), is insane. If some of these ingredients look foreign to you, you’re not the only one! This smoothie is exotic, but absolutely packed with amazing ingredients. For instance, chaga (a mushroom, say what?) has several antioxidants that support your immune system. – 1 cup milk of choice (Raw Whole Milk, Hemp, Almond, Coconut)
– 2 heaping tbs Yumbutter Plant Protein + Probiotic Almond butter
-1 tsp MCT Oil
– ½ tsp Chaga
– 4 drops Dragon Herbs Cordyceps Tonic
– ½ tsp Moringa
– ½ frozen organic banana
– ½ cup Aronia Berry
– Pinch of cayenne pepper
-1 tsp bee pollen
-1 tsp raw cocoa
– ½ tbs raw honey
