Yumbutter Apple Breakfast Quinoa

Packed with complete proteins and nutrients, quinoa has become one of our favorite grains to throw into salads, stir fries, veggie bowls, and soups. But quinoa’s little-known secret is that it makes a killer, versatile breakfast ingredient – think of it like a protein-packed oatmeal. Thus, we bring you Yumbutter Apple Breakfast Quinoa, a warm, cozy breakfast that brings all the micronutrients to start your day right.

1 Cup sprouted organic quinoa (any color)
2 Cup filtered alkaline water
1/3 Cup Yumbutter Organic Superfood Peanut / Almond / Cashew / or Sunflower Butter
1 Tbsp. RAW honey
¼ Tsp. Raw organic Maca powder
½ Tsp. organic ground cinnamon
1 Medium sized organic honey crisp apple, cut into bite-sized chunks

1.  In a large non-toxic saucepan, bring quinoa and water to a boil.  Reduce heat to low, then cover and simmer until quinoa is tender and tails come out, about 15-20 minutes.

2.  Remove quinoa from heat.  Stir in Yumbutter, honey, maca and cinnamon.  Top with apples, then drizzle with additional honey and sprinkle with cinnamon.  Serve immediately and prepare for an epic smile to appear on your face.
