If you want a fun (dare we say, fancy-ish) breakfast but don’t want to spend a lot of time in the kitchen, this one is for you. Almond Butter Filled Banana Puff Pastries are a delicious way to incorporate protein into your weekend brunch or even a special weekday morning!
Ingredients
4 tbsp Yumbutter Almond Butter
2 bananas
1/4 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
1 tube of premade croissant or crescent roll dough
2 tsp of salt
Directions
Peel each banana and using a spoon, scoop out the middle of the banana to create little “banana boats.” Fill each banana with chocolate chips, dividing evenly among the two.
Squeeze 1 tbsp of Yumbutter Almond Butter on top of each banana, covering the chocolate chips.
Gently wrap each banana with the premade croissant dough, we used two sheets of dough per banana to wrap them fully. Sprinkle salt on top.
Bake according to package directions as per the premade croissant dough that you have used. Remove from oven and drizzle with remaining Yumbutter Almond Butter. Serve warm and enjoy.
